Flyers for Local Promotion
Flyers work best for local events, special offers, new product launches, or time-sensitive promotions. They're affordable to produce, easy to distribute, and flexible enough to support various campaigns, especially when using short-run flyer printing to test what works.
When flyers work best
Door-to-door distribution in specific target areas puts your message directly into potential customers' hands. In-store displays at your premises or partner locations keep materials visible where people are already interested in related products or services.
Community noticeboards in cafés, libraries, sports centres, and local shops provide free advertising space if your message is relevant to that location's audience.
Time-sensitive promotions benefit particularly from flyers. A weekend sale, seasonal offer, or limited-time discount creates urgency that encourages immediate action.
Getting flyers right
Focus on one clear message per flyer. Trying to communicate too much dilutes impact and confuses readers. Choose the single most important thing you want people to know or do.
Include a strong call to action. "Call today for 10% off", "Visit our shop this weekend", "Book online and save", make it obvious what the next step is.
Contact details need to be prominent. Phone number, website, address if relevant. Don't bury them in small print at the bottom.
A5 or A6 sizes are affordable and easy to distribute. They fit through letterboxes, into bags, and onto noticeboards without dominating space or feeling wasteful.
Start with 250 to 500 flyers for local campaigns. Test the response before committing to larger quantities. You can always reorder if they work well.
