Hardback Books / Case Bound Books
Add a prestigious look to any print project with Hardback Book, also known as Hardcover Book printing or Case bound printing.
Product Description
Choose a premium publication with our Hardback Books. Hardback or Hardcover Books as they are also known are created using a specialist method called case binding. This is perfect for books that are used over and over again and are built to last.
Whether you're printing corporate documents, a school leavers' yearbook or an exclusive, limited edition publication, we've got your covered.
How are they binded?
Hardcover Book Printing is sealed using a specialist method called case binding. The front and back cover of your Hardback Book is printed and wrapped around a greyboard to create the 'Case' or Hardback of your book. The inner or text pages are bound together using a strong PUR (Polyurethane Reactive) adhesive. White end papers and fly sheets are then inserted. The un-printed end papers are glued to the case on the front and back. The flysheets are also blank and inserted just before and after your printed pages.

Why Choose Hardback Books?
Hardback books are chosen for projects where presentation, longevity and authority are important. Unlike softcover books, the rigid cover protects the inner pages and creates a professional appearance from the moment the book is picked up. Publications that are handled frequently—such as reference manuals, catalogues, training guides, and company handbooks—benefit from a sturdy binding that won't loosen over time. The durability offered by a hardback finish makes it particularly suitable for materials that must stand up to repeated daily use.
For more prestigious documents such as corporate reports, commemorative publications, and limited-edition projects, the look and feel of a hardback book provides an unmistakable sense of quality. Clients, donors, or stakeholders receiving a hardback publication instantly recognise the care and investment that has gone into its production. The refined appearance also makes this binding method an excellent choice for proposals, presentations and archival materials that need to retain their shape and integrity over time.
Longevity is another key reason customers across Northern Ireland choose hardback binding. The secure spine and rigid boards keep pages fixed firmly in place, maintaining the book's structure even after years of use. Whether it's a school leavers' yearbook, a collectable art publication or a corporate portfolio, a hardback book offers a professional edge that leaves a lasting impression.
About Our Hardback Book Printing
Our hardback books are produced using professional case binding, a technique designed for strength, accuracy and high-end presentation. Each cover is printed and wrapped around greyboard to create the outer “case,” giving the book its distinctive solid finish. Inside, pages are bound using strong PUR (Polyurethane Reactive) adhesive, which is known for its flexibility and long-term durability. This type of binding ensures that the spine does not crack and that pages remain firmly attached, even when the book is opened flat or used frequently.
We complete each book with endpapers and fly sheets, adding a clean, refined transition between the cover and inner pages. These finishing touches enhance the overall look and improve structural stability. The result is a publication that not only looks premium but also performs exceptionally well in everyday use.
